These Wampum prayer beads were inspired and created in partnership with my significant other, who owns Wampanoag Shells wampanoagshells.com , whose indigenous heritage includes the Wampanoag, Nipmuc, and Pequot tribes.
Create sacred space and take a mindful moment wherever you are! These prayer beads are easy to carry with you and are ready to be called upon when needed. Each strand is one-of-a-kind and created for prayer, meditation, or intention setting - whatever aligns with your spiritual practice. These beads can be utilized in many ways, depending on your personal preference. Say a prayer, affirmation, something you’re grateful for, or set an intention on each bead. Insert a finger from each hand in a classic closed hand prayer pose. Wrap around one hand, gripping the strand during meditation. Lay it over a specific body part or chakra that needs healing or aligning. Do what feels good for you.
Your order will come with a strand of prayer beads and an informational card stating the crystals/materials used and their properties. This CLARITY & FLOW strand includes a Wampum charm shaped like a scallop shell and a hairpipe Wampum bead in the center. Each strand is cleansed and blessed before being sent out.
The CLARITY & FLOW prayer bead strands were created to help bring balance, invoke peaceful positive energy, aid in cleansing and purifying self and space, and to support you on your sacred journey navigating the eternal spiral of life. It includes Wampum (quahog shell), orange knobby whelk shell, oyster shell, and aquamarine.
Wampum (quahog shell) - quahogs are important in their environment; a large chowder quahog filters an average of a gallon of water an hour, purifying and cleansing the water. It is one of the many indigenous food staples of the northeast coast of Turtle Island. The indigenous culture of this area created ornaments and gifts from the quahog shell, called Wampum. Wampum beads were made into strands called wampapeag and tubed beads were put into treaty belts that were exchanged between tribal nations as a higher form of ancient literacy; these belts told stories of major events. Wampum is rare, as the most desired beads usually include both white and purple color and not every shell has purple. The white and purple represent the duality of the world.
Orange knobby whelk shell - the sacred geometry of this shell is shared with the Milky Way, snail shells, roses, and more. It represents the eternal spiral of life and life’s journey.
Oyster shell - an oyster has a tough exterior but is soft on the inside, representing duality in life. It lives peacefully, creating beauty from sand and stress, which can inspire us to make the most out of our situation and use whatever we have available. Oysters improve water quality and clarity. They are often thought to attract prosperity.
Aquamarine brings peace and cleansing to the user. It inspires truth, trust, and letting go making it useful for decision making. It is associated with the Throat chakra and allows one to go with the flow and speak one’s truth. A nurturer, this stone encourages us to take care of ourselves. It provides us with healing when we need it the most.
