My name is Casey Downs, aka A Mindful Intuitive, and I am a holistic wellness mentor, folk herbalist, tarot reader, writer, and energy worker. I am currently training as a full spectrum doula and childbirth educator.
I have been studying and implementing holistic wellness for a decade. What began as a way of improving my own quality of life has developed into a passion for supporting others on their wellness journey. I believe in integrated care; healing is not one-size-fits-all and it is a journey not a destination. My hope is that improving individual wellness will lead to improving collective wellness by reducing harm and strengthening our connection as a community.
Though spirituality is a part of my approach to holistic wellness, it is non-denominational and welcoming to diverse belief systems. I personally practice matriarchal spirituality that is unique to me and my multi-cultural lineage. I never seek to influence spiritual beliefs and simply encourage faith and soul-wellness in general.
My wellness toolkit includes knowledge of herbalism, aromatherapy, organic gardening, mindfulness, breath work, meditation, seasonal and cyclical living, stress management, intuitive eating and movement, journaling & tarot for personal development and empowerment, energy work, and more. My resource library of specialized practitioners and learning material is extensive.
I personally manage severe scoliosis, chronic pain/migraines/tension/fatigue, anxiety & depression, and navigate neurodivergence and sensory processing differences. I know what it is like to struggle to make it through the day and function in modern society, on top of being gaslit and dismissed for my chronic conditions. I am not a medical professional and will never question your reality. No one knows you better than yourself.
I have a special interest in the health and well-being of nurturers and sacred guardians who lead from love; whether that is mothers, grandmothers, parents/primary caregivers, nurses, CNAs, or those who provide care to elders, animals, and the land. You are the foundation of community.
