I infuse all of my own oils and this particular brew was absolutely delightful to make! This was one of the first products I offered, and it received a much-needed update to make it more affordable, shelf-stable, and powerful! The first time I used it I almost melted from how velvety it feels and how luscious it smells! I'm so excited to share it with you.
The Rose Gold Face Serum contains sunflower oil infused with rose, calendula, lavender, chamomile, and plantain as well as lavender, geranium, and tea tree essential oils.
Rose is a true heart healer. It invokes love, compassion, peace, and beauty. All parts of rose are astringent and antioxidant. The scent is calming and uplifting. Rose tones the skin and helps with inflammation and breakouts.
Calendula is ruled by the Sun and a tissue healer. It contains salicylic acid which works as an analgestic to aid in relieving pain associated with minor wounds and skin irritations. Calendula is a great herb to use when working on the Solar Plexus. It invokes confidence, positivity, motivation, and strength.
Lavender also makes an appearance in the products of the Rose Gold Collection. Lavender promotes peace and balance. It is both stimulating and relaxing. Historically, this is an herb used in baths for its pleasant smell and cleansing ability. The name came from the Latin word “lavare” which means “to wash.”
Chamomile is another herb often used in beauty products. It softens and conditions skin, and soothes mild skin irritations. It is an anti-inflammatory herb and is thought to be a powerful nervine. Chamomile may help with tension and restlessness. This is an herb symbolizing peace, purification, protection, and good luck.
Plantain is astringent and moistening and works to draw out foreign matter from the skin. It is anti-inflammatory, tightens and tones skin tissue, and is useful for minor skin irritations.
Geranium essential oil has a lovely floral scent and is known for being uplifting, calming, and grounding. It helps to calm nerves and bring peace of mind. It helps to clear and brighten skin making it beneficial to add to topical products.
Tea tree essential oil is anti-fungal. It helps to moisturize dry skin, balance oily skin, and clear up acne and redness.
